The theory of multiple ntelligences, proposed by Howard Gardner, is a theory which argues that individuals possess different types of intelligence and that the educational process should be structured to take these differences into account. The aim of this study is to examine the activities related to the reading texts included in the Ministry of National Education’s 2025 Turkish Language Textbook for Year 6 of Secondary Schools and Imam Hatip Secondary Schools (Volumes 1 and 2) within the framework of the theory of multiple intelligences. However, free reading texts and listening/viewing texts have not been included in the scope of this study. The data obtained from the study, which was conducted using the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, were analysed using descriptive analysis techniques. According to the study’s findings, the activities were largely centred on verbal/linguistic intelligence, followed in order by logical/mathematical, visual/spatial, social/interpersonal, musical/rhythmic and intrapersonal/individual/introspective intelligence; it was determined that the intelligence domains represented at the lowest level were bodily/kinesthetic/sensory intelligence and naturalist intelligence.
