Needle lace embroidered in various regions of Anatolia has become the voice of Anatolian women with the message they convey as well as their artistic dimensions. Bursa, one of the most important centers of the Silk Road, is known for its silk production and trade throughout history. The fact that Bursa is favorable for silk cocoon production has been effective in the use of silk in traditional Turkish handicrafts. Müşküle, located in the Iznik district of Bursa, is a village that is most famous for its silk needle lace and has a geographical registration mark.
