Abstract


INTERVIEW WITH İBRAHİM KOCA AND MÜŞKÜLE NEEDLE LACE

The place of lace in traditional Turkish art is very important. Needle lace embroidered in various regions of Anatolia has become the voice of Anatolian women with the message they convey as well as their artistic dimensions. Bursa, one of the most important centers of the Silk Road, is known for its silk production and trade throughout history. The fact that Bursa is favorable for silk cocoon production has been effective in the use of silk in traditional Turkish handicrafts. Müşküle, located in the Iznik district of Bursa, is a village that is most famous for its silk needle lace and has a geographical registration mark. In this article, an interview with İbrahim KOCA, a businessman who has a large collection of needle laces and especially collects Müşküle needle laces and is closely interested in art and culture, was included; An epigraphic examination was made on artichoke needle lace, ordered soldier, tree of life, deer horn, cherry needle lace from Müşküle needle lace.
