Words are the language units that describe objects and verbs in the universe. On the other hand, there are larger language units that can not be defined with a single word than words. These language units qualifying words are called word phrases. A phrase is a collection of words that describes a single object and action as a whole. The phrases consisting of an adjective and a noun are called adjective clause group/noun group.
In this study, samples of the adjective clause group/noun group are examined in fifty folk songs which are chosen from Merdan Guven's "On Bin Yılın Türküsü" and "Kırık Sazın Türküsü". This study aims to determine the adjective clause group/noun group involved in the Turkish folk songs and it also tries to find out the frequency of occurrence of these groups. The finding is considered as eleven titles under the main banner of adjective clause group/noun group.
