Bu araştırmanın amacı, dünyada önemli bir okur kitlesine sahip, etkileyiciliği ve öğreticiliği bakımından önemli bir eser olan Küçük Prens’i Edgar Dale´nin Yaşantı Konisi’nin basamaklarına göre incelemektir. Dale’nin Yaşantı Konisi öğretimi anlaşılır ve kalıcı hâle getirdiği için Küçük Prens’in incelenmesi eserin farklı boyutlarını ortaya koyması bakımından da önem taşımaktadır. Araştırma betimsel çalışma olarak kurgulanmış olup veriler içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Belirlenen eserdeki ifadeler Edgar Dale´nin Yaşantı Konisi’nin basamakları dikkate alınarak tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada Küçük Prens’teki cümlelerle Yaşantı Konisi’nin basamakları sıklık durumlarına göre gruplandırılmıştır. Araştırmada Antoine de Saint-Exupéry`nin Küçük Prens adlı eserinde Edgar Dale´nin Yaşantı Konisi’nin sözel sembollerle edinilen yaşantılar (f=56), görsel sembollerle (f=35), geziler yoluyla (f=12), dramatizasyonla (f=12), model ve numunelerle (f=7) ve doğrudan doğruya edinilen maksatlı yaşantılar (f=10) basamaklarına uygun içeriğe yer verildiği ancak radyo-plaklarla, hareketli resimlerle, televizyonla, sergiler yardımıyla ve gösteriler yoluyla edinilen yaşantılar basamaklarına ise yer verilmediği görülmüştür. Ulaşılan sonuçlar incelenen eserin Dale’nin yaşantı konisindeki basamakları genel olarak karşıladığı ve birçok basamağa uygun içerik sunduğunu göstermiştir.

The aim of this research is to examine The Little Prince, which has an important readership in the world and is an important work in terms of its impressiveness and instructiveness, according to the steps of Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience. Since Dale's Cone of Experience makes the teaching understandable and permanent, the examination of The Little Prince is also important in terms of revealing the different dimensions of the work. The research was designed as a descriptive study and the data were evaluated using the content analysis method. The expressions in the determined work were determined by considering the steps of Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience. In the research, the sentences in The Little Prince and the steps of the Cone of Experience were grouped according to their frequency. In the research, in Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince, Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience is used with verbal symbols (f=56), visual symbols (f=35), travels (f=12), dramatization (f= 12), models and samples (f = 7) and directly acquired purposeful experiences (f = 10), it has been seen that the appropriate content is included, but the steps of experiences acquired through radio-records, moving pictures, television, exhibitions, and shows are not included. The results showed that the analyzed work generally meets the steps in Dale's cone of life and offers content suitable for many steps.
