Necip Fazıl Kısakürek is one of the important names of both Turkish Literature and Turkish political history with his poet, writer, and intellectual identities. From the first texts in the world of literature, it draws attention with its careful use of language and its success in conveying the richness of Turkish. While individual feelings, and fears were in question in his first poems, he evolved into a religious and political direction in his maturity period. In the Nakarat, in the Ukde part of the book of Çile, the image carries the surface of the daily spoken language; however, in terms of the image structures of words, the philosophical depth of the unchangeable destiny of man is implied in the repetitive cycle of the world he lives in. This is a reference to the continuous punishment of the mythological character Sisyphus with the rock that he loaded on to the hill and then rolled again. The struggle of the individual to reach the goal he has set is clarified by identifying with 'refrains'/repetitions. Thus, the mystical and philosophical elements are transformed into words through the subject of poetry, which gives meaning to the meaningless, seemingly absurd world. In this study, the sacred meaning values conveyed to the text through symbols in Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's Nakarat poem were analyzed thematically with Sisyphus.
