In this study, Prof. Dr. Sinan Bayraktaroğlu's work titled Culture Conflict in Turkish Society from Past to Present: Language and Education was examined. In the relevant work, the historical situation of the Turkish language and the Turkish language education system is presented to the reader. The book includes sections named "Turkish Language and the Acceptance of Islam, Ottoman Period, Republican Period, Language Reform, Turkish Education from Past to Present, Today's Turkish Education, Foreign Language Education, Contemporary Language Education". In these chapters, the Arab and Persian influence of the Turkish language, which started with the acceptance of Islam, is explained in detail, and then the place and importance of French, German, and finally English in Turkish culture is discussed. In the work; The differences between education and training, and the difference between learner-centered and instructor-centered education models were mentioned. In addition, the ongoing Turkish language problems and foreign language problems in the Turkish education system were examined through examples. The fact that foreign language education and education with a foreign language are different from each other is mentioned and some suggestions are presented to the reader by the book author, taking into account the current problems in the work.
